The Bean Gaming PC Refurbishing Process

Here at Bean Gaming our aim is to offer refurbished gaming desktops and computer components so PC gamers on a budget can afford gaming systems. Buying refurbished tech reduces electrical waste and helps lower environmental impacts of materials going to landfill sites.

How we refurbish our computers?

We use new and refurbished components from all the big brand names to build our refurbished gaming PCs. Most of our machine parts are from retired business equipment.

Some of our refurbished gaming PCs are built with BRAND NEW 100% genuine components excluding the CPU, Motherboard and other parts unless stated in the condition. In many cases we use brand new AMD and Nvidia Graphics Cards in our refurbished desktop builds. Our eBay listing pages will let you know exactly what you’re getting.

All our refurbished parts are cleaned and built by our qualified skilled engineers with fresh CPU thermal paste applied to aid fan cooling and increase CPU performance and lifespan.

While the components won’t be the latest model releases, you’ll receive a gaming PC that performs great without the expensive price tag. Buying a refurbished gaming PC doesn’t mean substandard performance and every device is restored to glory for PC gamers to enjoy.

Our Refurbishing Process Checklist

Our refurbishing process gives refurbed tech and second-hand components a new purpose and fresh start. The process involves cleaning, testing, repairing any faults, and installing software ready for going on sale.

Each component and device goes through the following professional refurbished process:

1. Part Inspection – We pre-inspect every device and each component to check for damage and any safety issues. To comply with data security all PC drives are wiped, and any personal data is erased.

2. Clean – All hardware components, such as motherboards, RAM, CPU processors, graphic cards, case/fans etc are cleaned of dust and any fluff using compressed air. Old thermal paste is removed with alcohol wipes and fresh CPU thermal paste is applied between the CPU and cooling fan.

3. Build/Install – We assemble the cleaned computer parts and install Windows and any required hardware drivers. We download Steam so you can login game ready.

4. Testing – All hardware components, such as motherboards, RAM, CPU processors, graphic cards, etc are then tested for any faults and issues.

5. Repair – If any components fail during the testing phase we attempt to repair them if possible. Should any component be beyond repair we replace the part, and the faulty component is recycled preventing materials from going to landfill.

6. Finally Checks – After all the cleaning, testing and any repairs we then perform the final checks and cleaning before grading the machine and parts making a note of any cosmetic damage.

7. List Device/Part for Sale – The next step is to list the machine or components for sale. When you make a purchase from us we’ll then deliver it to you via DPD or Royal Mail.

8. Extended Warranty – At the time of purchase you can extend your warranty for extra peace of mind. This offers extra protection above the listed warranty period should any part fail beyond the listed terms of sale.
